Why Not Make it a 2-Day Experience?

Because West Georgia is rich with hidden gems, many guests find that staying overnight is the best way to truly soak in the atmosphere without the rush. By turning this into a two-day journey, we can move at a much more relaxed pace and see even more of the Imereti region.

  • The Ancient Capital: We can spend the evening in Kutaisi, one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world. We’ll explore its charming streets and visit the majestic Bagrati Cathedral, which offers a stunning view of the city as the sun sets.
  • UNESCO World Heritage: On day two, we can visit the Gelati Monastery. This 12th-century masterpiece is a UNESCO site famous for its incredibly preserved mosaics and frescoes that tell the story of Georgia’s “Golden Age.”
  • A Culinary Journey: West Georgia is famous for its unique cuisine. An overnight stay allows us to enjoy a slow, traditional Imeretian dinner featuring the famous Imeretian Khachapuri and local wines that are quite different from those found in the East.
  • More Nature: With the extra time, we can also add a visit to Okatse Canyon, where you can walk along a hanging bridge 140 meters above the canyon floor, or see the towering Kinchkha Waterfall.

The Choice is Yours: Whether you want an action-packed 1-day adventure or a soulful 2-day exploration, I will handle all the mountain driving and logistics so you can focus on the beauty of the West.
