- Zhinvali Reservoir: Marvel at the turquoise waters of this stunning mountain “dome.”
- Ananuri Fortress: Explore a 16th-century stronghold and its beautiful historic churches.
- The Meeting of the Rivers: Witness the unique natural phenomenon where the Black and White Aragvi rivers meet without mixing.
- Gudauri Friendship Monument: Capture panoramic views and, for the brave, try paragliding over the peaks!
- Gergeti Trinity Church: Visit Georgia’s most iconic 14th-century church, sitting at 2,200 meters with a backdrop of the mighty Mount Kazbek.

The Juta Overnight Experience
If you have more time, I highly recommend staying overnight in Kazbegi to visit Juta—one of the most remote and beautiful villages in the Caucasus.
Extended Itinerary
- The Journey: We will drive 25km into the mountains. The final stretch is a rugged off-road track, but my vehicle is fully equipped for the challenge.
- The Hike: From Juta, we will hike 4.5km (one way) to the crystal-clear Chauxi Lake, located at the foot of the dramatic “Georgian Dolomites.”
- Arsha Waterfalls: On our way back to Tbilisi, we will stop to see the powerful Arsha Waterfalls.
Note: The Juta/Chauxi Lake route is available from late May to late October due to snow.
